THE TROPICS RESTAURANT
The Tropics Restaurant and Bar is located in Winthrop Harbor, IL, within North Point Marina – the largest marina on the Great Lakes. When you visit the restaurant you’ll be able to sit back, relax, and enjoy great food while overlooking the Marina and Lake Michigan.
Our beautiful outdoor patio overlooks North Point Marina and Lake Michigan. It’s perfect for a lovely night with friends and family. Or if you have you a wedding, event, or other party you’d like to celebrate in style. We can seat up to 120 people for private parties and banquets.
In addition to our restaurant, bar, and banquets, we also offer catering. So let us bring your favorite Tropics dishes to your next event, corporate luncheon, or backyard party.

THE WINTHROP HARBOR YACHT CLUB
The Winthrop Harbor Yacht Club (WHYC), located within North Point Marina, is the place for people with a passion for boating. Our vibrant organization provides educational classes, theme parties, organized cruises ,and social activities throughout the year for members of all ages – plus enjoy other amenities like our Canoe Bar, Weber gas grills, Sunday breakfasts, and more.
Open 365 days a year for our members, the WHYC is the perfect complement to your North Point Marina boating experience. Now accepting new members!
The Club is also available for private rentals for parties up to 130 people.

Party Packs include 15 pool pass wristbands and up to 5 adult chaperone pass wristbands, 3 hours of pool and pavilion use. Additional pool / chaperone / guests attending pool party whether swimming or not, must have a wristband.

FUEL DOCK
SkipperBud’s provides Gasoline and Diesel on the fuel dock and can be contacted at (847) 872-3200 or on Marine Band channels 16 or 9. Fueling of vessels can only be done at the designated fuel dock in the marina.*

FISH STATION
The fish cleaning station is near the swimming beach and is open 24 hours, seven days a week. Disposal of fish waste is permitted at the fish cleaning station only.

BIKE RENTALS
Bikes and stroller trailers are available for rent per hour, half-day (up to 4 hours), full-day (up to 8 hours), and 24-hour periods.
Adult bike - $10 per hour, $25 half day, $35 full day, $40 for 24 hours
Kids bike - $6 per hour, $15 half day, $20 full day, $25 for 24 hours
Trailer stroller - $6 per hour, $15 half day, $20 full day, $25 for 24 hours
All rentals include helmets, locks, baskets, and water bottle holders.

KAYAKS & STAND-UP PADDLE BOARDS
Single and double kayaks and stand-up paddle boards are available on an hourly rate. There are no overnight rentals available. All rentals after the first hour are pro-rated by the ¼ hour.

Double Kayak - $30 per hour
Season Passes
Includes use of bikes, kayaks, or SUP daily for up to 4 hours each.
